2 Become 1: tmc Locations Hagenberg and Linz ‚Move-In Together‘

News

We have moved to the trendy harbor quarter in Linz, combining the Hagenberg and Linz teams. All 90 of us are looking forward to sharing a modern, open 650-m2 office space. Why? To speed up the digitalization of railway infrastructure and to make it easier for customers, partners and ourselves.

Linz, December 2020 – Even if most of us are currently working from home, we all feel the excitement and anticipation of actually working from our new office in Regensburger Straße 3, 4020 Linz, Austria. Finally, we can all see each other without having to commute between the two locations in Hagenberg and Linz. And, since we’ve all moved our belongings in boxes from the old to the new office according to a strict Covid schedule, let us tell you: it’s really nice!

Quicker launches of unique solutions

Not everything has been unpacked and screens are still being installed, but one thing is clear: close cooperation between colleagues is the focus of our new office. It is designed for agile software development. There is space for daily scrums while standing, sitting or lying down.

Our goal is to create unique solutions for the digitalization of rail infrastructure. These solutions require the entire creativity and problem-solving skills of all employees. This, in turn, requires team spirit, which will grow even further thanks to the open space and short distances in our new office. “The goals we’ve set ourselves as a team are high, the new office creates the right home base to achieve them,” explains Jochen Nowotny, CEO of tmc.

The goal: making digital track maintenance easy

We measure our success by combining economic and ecological interests. It is important to us to help shape the rail sector as an attractive and environmentally friendly mode of transport. Our solutions turn track machines effortlessly into digital machines that can be used very efficiently. Also, entire fleets and track infrastructure can be measured and monitored efficiently and digitally for the first time and thus be better maintained.

tmc is growing, join us!

The new office allows us to grow further. Here, science and business meet, research becomes practice. We do our research in the 40-m² laboratory and then test the outcomes on the 170-ton track maintenance machines. Mathematicians, IT specialists, programmers, geologists, lateral thinkers and people with an affinity for railways will enjoy working at tmc, where we actually strive to make the world a little better.
