Cloud Deployment Options for Railway Infrastructure Managers

Tech Insights

As we digitise railway infrastructure and maintenance efforts, we at tmc have different cloud deployment options such as applications running on a Machine and those running in the back office. Track Machine applications always use ‘Private Clouds’, i.e. computing power on the machine, whereas back-office applications, such as tmOS, can be deployed on Private or Public Clouds, even a Hybrid solution is possible.

  • Machine applications on a private cloud

We’re able to support you in slimming-down hardware to a single server solution or we can build a small data center that fits onto the machine and runs all required products locally.

  • Back-Office applications on a private, public or hybrid cloud

If you choose a public cloud, we rent the processing power and memory needed. If you opt for an on-premise solution, we are happy to deploy tmc applications in your own IT infrastructure where processing power and memory are dedicated. Depending on your organization’s needs we also support a hybrid approach which is a combination of the public and private cloud.

If you would like to know more about the cloud for railway infrastructure managers, have any concerns or would like to assess your risks, contact us or connect with us on LinkedIn. Making sure that you feel safe on your way towards digitalizing your railway infrastructure and maintenance is just as much part of our job as providing top-notch railway infrastructure digitalization solutions.
