Employee Experience News

Jochen Nowotny, tmc’s CEO, has nominated Lucia Nagl as the new technology lead and CTO as Karl Kernstock prepares to step aside to continue a part-time engagement as Senior CTO advisor. We thank Karl for his contribution and hard work as CTO and wish Lucia a great transition to her new role.

We aim to continue being a catalyst in workforce equality for the new generations to come. With Lucia in the lead now, it is a reminder that the doors to senior professional positions are based on merit at tmc and are open to all who demonstrate the right skills, experience, or passion to learn. Check out our career section if you’d like to join us, we are currently hiring in Vienna and Linz.

Until now she excelled as Head of Platform Solutions, where she advanced for example an end-to-end UI/UX guide for machine and backoffice, a new Map and KPI visualization and first 3rd party use-cases within the last year. Lucia shared her enthusiasm with her new colleagues and latest professional step: “I am ready to learn and ready to work and grow together with my team.” In turn, Jochen happily stated: “I fully trust Lucia and she has shown how far passion, commitment and team spirit can get you at tmc.”

Lucia joins Andi Theiß (Operations) and Benjamin Stuntner (Market), forming the new leadership team reporting to Jochen Nowotny (CEO). We look forward to this new force of complementary skills and abilities that will further advance tmc’s development and find our clients the right technological solutions.

Her professional path in the tech industry started in Software Development at Trumpf in Upper Austria. There, she was responsible to create the HMI for Bending machines – technology that is used in all industries, ranging from the agriculture to automotive and many other technological fields. Lucia has studied Bio- and Medicine Informatics at the University of Applied Sciences in Hagenberg, as well as IT-Law and Management at the University of Applied Sciences in Kapfenberg.

We look forward to meeting our clients’ technological needs and inquiries, with our new and diverse tmc leadership team at the helm to guide us and 100+ colleagues that are passionate to make the digitalization of railway infrastructure maintenance systems easy.
